Light String - Mook version of light string has only six attacks in it. This is because they are meant to be minor enemy characters for PvE missions and not fully fledged characters. Side note: a dashing light attack, or step vanish light attack is actually counted as beginning with heavy attack, meaning that you'll skip the beginning of light string, and be unable to use LHH and 5元H combos out of it.ĭisposable characters designated as mooks have fewer combos available, and are not nearly as flexible with cancelling as regular characters. Some characters can also use the other input in certain places to end a string in a different way, most often using a combo ender of a different string. For example, starting with a heavy attack and switching to light attack will lead back to the light string, skipping to the later half of it, but some characters will actually be able to do up to four heavy attacks before going back into the light string. Not following the table, there are a few other ways combo strings lead to one another, in a way that may be different for each characters. 5元H - performed by using three heavy attack inputs after exactly five light attack inputs. 
LHH - performed by using two heavy attack inputs after up to four light attack inputs.Alternating String (HLHLH) - performed with heavy and light attack inputs being used in alteration.Heavy String (5H) - performed with 5 consecutive heavy attack inputs.
Light String (9L) - performed with 9 consecute light string inputs, or just mashing light attack button. Regular characters have access to five basic combo strings, these combos canīe seen in game if you go to any singleplayer mode and select Combo List in the pause menu. In order to maintain consistency between platforms, inputs are described as L for light attack, and H for heavy attack. 
While they are different for most characters, they all share the basic input. Combo String is the basic attack combo performed by the inputs of light and heavy attacks, which constitute the basic character moveset.
